What platforms do you support?+
We currently support NinjaTrader 8 and Tradovate running locally on your machine. Rithmic and ProjectX support are coming soon.
How does the rule enforcement work?+
Our desktop app runs alongside NinjaTrader and validates every order before it's sent. If a rule is violated, the trade is blocked and you're notified instantly.
Can I override a blocked trade?+
For "warn" rules, you can acknowledge and proceed. For "block" rules, the trade is prevented entirely. This is intentional - discipline means no exceptions.
Will this slow down my order execution?+
No. Rule validation happens in under 50ms locally on your machine. The state machine is pre-computed, so checking rules is instant.
Is it really free?+

How do I connect my trading account?+
Install our NinjaTrader add-on and launch the Guard My Trade app. Enter your broker credentials, and you're connected. The whole setup takes about 5 minutes.
Which prop firms are supported?+
Currently we support prop firms that use Tradovate. Rithmic support (TopStep, Apex, Bulenox, etc.) and ProjectX are coming soon. Check back for updates!
How do TradingView webhooks work?+
You get a unique webhook URL that you paste into your TradingView alert. When your strategy triggers, TradingView sends a signal to our system. We check the trade against your rules first, then execute it on your connected account.
How do the behavioral insights work?+
We analyze your trade history to identify patterns like revenge trading after losses, overtrading during certain hours, or tilt behavior during losing streaks. You get personalized insights and recommendations to improve your trading psychology.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. Your broker credentials are encrypted and stored locally on your machine. We never have access to withdraw funds — we can only place trades on your behalf. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
What happens if the app crashes during a trade?+
Your positions remain open on the broker side — we don't interfere with existing positions. When you restart the app, it reconnects and syncs your current state. We recommend running the app on a stable connection or VPS for best reliability.
Can I use this with a VPS?+
Absolutely. Many traders run Guard My Trade on a Windows VPS for 24/7 uptime. This is especially useful if you're using TradingView webhooks and want trades executed even when your local machine is off.
Do I need NinjaTrader installed?+
Yes, currently Guard My Trade requires NinjaTrader 8 installed locally. Our add-on connects to NinjaTrader to execute validated trades. You place trades through our manual panel or TradingView webhooks, we check your rules, and if they pass, the order is sent through NinjaTrader to your broker.
How do I get support?+
